The minutes leading up to the Battle of the Bastards consisted of Rickon Stark trying desperately to run to the safety of his big brother's arms, which incidentally were the arms of the only family member he'd seen in years pretty much. What this means for Winterfell is pretty uncertain at this point, but as great as it was for Littlefinger to send his army like a straight up G, you know he's going to expect something in return from the Starks of Winterfell. Lucky for Jon and pretty much everyone fighting on their side, who wasn't yet slaughtered by Ramsay's army, the knights of the Vale showed up in time to break through the Bolton army's formation and save the day. Even though big bro Jon Snow had insisted to Sansa that even asking for Petyr Baelish's help was a mistake, she obviously couldn't resist, since they were coming up pretty short in their army recruitment tour of the North. The knights of the Vale saved the Battle of the Bastards on Game of Thrones thanks to Sansa's secret letter in Episode 8. Somehow, thanks to Petyr Freakin' Baelish, Jon Snow and company were able to defeat Ramsay's army in the Battle of the Bastards. The fight that pretty much everyone has been waiting for finally commenced on Sunday's episode of Game of Thrones, but not without some moments of terror over our favorite characters.
